About
"Ein wenig Licht. Und diese Ruhe." is a play by Sibylle Berg staged at the Berliner Ensemble. It is set in a future that feels unsettlingly like our present, in which a war breaks out between Liechtenstein and Luxembourg. An engineer drafted into military service slowly realises that his queerness was never compatible with his job in the arms industry. Directed by Dennis Nolden, it is a solo piece with Gabriel Schneider and a tender monologue about despair at the present, with music and a bit of silence.
