Einfach das Ende der Welt

About
"Einfach das Ende der Welt" is a theatre production based on Jean-Luc Lagarce, in which director Christopher Rüping and his ensemble plunge into the drama of the family. After twelve years, a young man returns to his family, having given no sign of himself in that time while establishing himself as a successful artist in the big city and drifting further from his family in the small town. The play asks whether an encounter is still possible and whether years without contact soften or harden their judgment of one another. The much-awarded production, taken over from the Schauspielhaus Zürich, is the first part of Rüping's family trilogy and is shown on a Berlin stage for the first time with Corinna Harfouch in the role of the mother.
