About
An evening of reading and conversation with the writer Emmanuel Carrère, presenting his new novel »Kolchose«, hosted by the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin. In conversation with his translator Claudia Hamm, he traces four generations of his family's lives, loves and sufferings across Russia, Georgia, German exile and France. The starting point is the death of his mother Hélène Carrère d'Encausse and of her husband Louis, after which Carrère discovered his father's genealogical research while clearing out their flat. The event is sold out and takes place in French with German translation.
