"Erinnern für die Zukunft" (Remembering for the Future) is an occasion of remembrance for November 9, the day of the November pogroms of 1938. It is run by the Patmos Gemeinde in Berlin-Steglitz, whose page recalls the pogroms in which synagogues and Jewish businesses were destroyed and hundreds of Jews were killed. At its centre stands the biblical call "Sachor" – "remember": Christians commemorate the pogroms of 1938, and remembering the injustice is meant to help shape a future without antisemitism.
