Erland Cooper, support: Meredi
Zenner, Alt-Treptow 14-17, 12435 Berlin, Alt-Treptow
About
A concert evening with Scottish composer and interdisciplinary artist Erland Cooper, who combines electronic and classical music with striking storytelling and conceptual art. At its centre is his fourth studio album, „Folded Landscape“, a moving chamber music work that turns observations around climate change into sound, thawing across seven movements from below zero to extreme heat. Alongside electronic sounds, poetry, soprano, piano, harpsichord and field recordings, it features voices including Simon Armitage, Greta Thunberg, Dara McNaulty and Norman Ackroyd. As support, the Armenian-German composer and performer Meredi, based in Berlin, will exclusively present a few new songs from her forthcoming album.
