About
A concert reading titled "Und die Vögel werden singen" combines music, storytelling and hope into a moving cultural experience at the Gärtnerhaus. Aeham Ahmad, known across Europe as the "pianist from the ruins" of Yarmouk, plays music that unites Arabic sounds with Western influences and tells of war, flight, loss and the power of hope. Nicole Klein reads selected passages from Ahmad's autobiography and guides the audience through the artist's moving life story, accompanied by piano pieces. Carlo Nordloh and Luc Monsigny are also part of the event; admission is donation-based.
