Frauen sehen: seven artists on the gaze and visibility.

FRAUEN SEHEN is a group exhibition bringing together seven artists, seven perspectives and seven forms of seeing. Curated by Nicole Woischwill, it links contemporary positions of different backgrounds and practices dealing with female perception, the body, visibility and participation in society. Its deliberately ambiguous title points to women seeing women, with works ranging from sculpture made of urban found objects and experimental Polaroid collages to photographic archives and sensuous spatial experiences. The exhibition understands visibility as an artistic and social practice, inviting visitors to question the gaze itself: who looks, who is looked at, who decides what becomes visible?
