About

"Otemachi One: The Fate of Faces as Told by Parallel Lines" is Etsu Egami's first public art installation in Japan, presented at Otemachi One in Tokyo. Egami, an artist represented by KORNFELD Galerie, created a site-specific installation exploring communication, perception and the misunderstandings that arise between languages and cultures. With vivid colors and expressive lines she extends her portrait-based practice into three-dimensional space, linking interior and exterior areas of the building such as the Imperial Green, the lobby, its windows and the office entrance through works including "Intersecting Lights: Faces, Faces, Faces…," "Rainbow Dance," "Rainbow" and "Imagine".
