About
"Fabian. Der Gang vor die Hunde" is a theatre production based on Erich Kästner's 1933 big city novel, staged at the RambaZamba Theater. It is directed by Jacob von Wienskowski, formerly Jacob Höhne, and performed by the RambaZamba ensemble, accompanied by the live band "21 downbeat" and drag show acts. The performance portrays Berlin in the late Weimar Republic as a city of political radicalization and moral decay, where the young Fabian, an ironic observer, is swept away by the whirlwind of the big city and ultimately perishes. Rather than letting Fabian wander alone, a group of outsiders comes together to discuss the fragility of morality, empathy, and resistance amid today's crises.
