A documentary theatre work about Gropiusstadt, a large housing estate in Berlin whose residents connect many very different stories. Behind the piece is Arthur Romanowski, a director and performer from Gropiusstadt, whose team conducted interviews with people living in the neighbourhood. Inspired by Georges Perec's novel »Das Leben Gebrauchsanweisung« (Life: A User's Manual), the production weaves these biographies into a mosaic together with the director's own biography. In this way a lively, many-voiced portrait of the district emerges, forming an image of Berlin in the 20th and 21st centuries.
