About
A reading about the life of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo under the theme of „Auseinandersetzung mit dem Schmerz“ (engaging with pain). The text by Dieter Wunderlich is read by the actress Vera Müller, who was born in Berlin's Wedding district, accompanied by traditional Mexican guitar music. She admired Kahlo's painting and her social and political commitment from an early age; she was struck by Kahlo's words „Ich bin bloß ein Mädchen, das sich seinen Lebensunterhalt verdient.“
