Gesundheitskollektiv: film and book night on migration.

An evening with the documentary film “Código Marcos” and the presentation of a book about migration, followed by a talk and a shared meal. Behind the event are the Gesundheitskollektiv Berlin (GeKo), a community-organised health centre in Neukölln, together with the Kunst auf Rezept programme led by Georgina Espasa and Trashumantes, founded by Camilo Baquero Burgos. The film follows Liena, a single Cuban mother living in Spain who is raising two children, one of whom is autistic; she films and directs it herself, showing Marcos’s life through his own eyes and those of his family. The book “Freiheitsgedanken: Erinnerungen, Gedichte und Collagen aus migrantischen Perspektiven” gathers memories, poems and collages that explore migration through individual and collective recollections.
