„Giftige Blaualgen gibt es nur im Sommer, oder?“ - Vortrag & Gespräch mit Dr. Britta Geiser

About
A talk followed by a conversation about so-called blue-green algae, which can grow at the bottom of bodies of water on aquatic plants and become dangerous for dogs. Dr. Britta Geiser, a research associate at the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries, uses images and vivid examples to show how possible mass accumulations of these neurotoxic cyanobacteria can be recognized. The event takes place in dialogue with citizens and shows how risks can be identified early on. It is part of „Wissen zwischen Büchern“, where researchers speak in the Berlin Public Libraries about topics that move people.
