About
A talk in the Global History Colloquium at Freie Universität Berlin. James Robertson, an associate professor of history at UC Irvine, speaks on “Transnational Lives and Communist Worldmaking”: using three little-known biographies, he reconstructs how international communism shaped lives, selves, and worldviews. He follows the African American nurse Salaria Kea, the Vietnamese Trotskyist Van Ngo, and the Argentinian-German spy Tamara Bunke. The colloquium takes place in person.
