About
"Highlights - Surreale Welten" is a public guided tour for adults held at the Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg in Berlin. It is organised by the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin together with the Nationalgalerie. The tour invites a shared dialogue about what defines surrealism and how artists bring the subconscious to light, with major works by Max Ernst, Hans Bellmer, Salvador Dalí, Unica Zürn and René Magritte taking in everything from the movement's forerunners and its literary and artistic beginnings in 1920s Paris to its many later influences. Participants meet at the ticket desk / information point, places are limited and online booking is required.
