In Memoriam Prof. Stephan Picard
About
A memorial concert held by the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin in the Krönungskutschen-Saal in the Neuer Marstall at Schloßplatz. It commemorates violin professor Stephan Picard, who died suddenly in July 2026 and who taught at the university from 1995, shaping generations of violinists. Together with colleagues, students and alumni of his class, the university community dedicates this concert to him. The programme features works by Bach, de Falla, Hellmesberger, Beethoven, Schumann/Brahms and Schubert, including Schubert's String Quintet in C major.
