About

As part of INTERFILM 2026: SPECIALS BLACK - THE BLACK GAZE, the drama "Soumsoum, la nuit des astres" by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun is screening. In the Ennedi desert in Chad, the young Kellou is haunted by mysterious visions that she herself does not understand. When she meets Aya, an outcast in her forties living on the edge of the village, her world changes, but the village community turns against the growing bond between the two women. Kellou must carry out one last task for Aya: preserving their shared mystical, pantheistic world in which the visible and the invisible flow into one another.
