A discussion with artistic impulses about the Hauptstadtkulturfonds, a Berlin cultural funding scheme conceived in 1995 by the Rat für die Künste Berlin and set up in 1999. Speakers include Nele Hertling, Silvia Fehrmann, Hermann Parzinger and Sonja Longolius, with artistic contributions from Bjørn Melhus, Rimini Protokoll and Vera Strobel of Theater o.N., moderated by Christophe Knoch and Anne Schneider. The fund looks back on nearly thirty years of success and was recently renegotiated as part of the Hauptstadtfinanzierungsvertrag, though the urgently needed increase did not materialise. Together with the guests, the fund's uniqueness in cultural funding will be discussed and its significance illustrated through artistic positions; the event is held in cooperation with the Stiftung Zukunft Berlin.
