About
The jW geht Jazz series presents a concert by the quartet ERNTE at the Maigalerie. The ensemble around Hannes Zerbe, featuring Benjamin Weidekamp, Uli Kempendorff, Kaspar von Grünigen and David Meier, plays work songs and songs from antifascist, antiracist and anti-imperialist resistance movements from around the world. This repertoire of the 20th century is interpreted almost without lyrics, through jazz with improvisation, energy and a trace of melancholy. Under the motto "Whoever sows wind will reap storm", the music is played with and in protest.
