Galerie Thomas Schulte, Charlottenstraße 24, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
Katharina Sieverding: Life-Death is an exhibition at Galerie Thomas Schulte in Berlin. The gallery presents work by the artist Katharina Sieverding, with her film Life–Death from 1969 at its centre. Shot on 16mm film, it is shown as a two-channel projection alongside large-scale film stills, photographic tableaus and previously unpublished Polaroids. The film unfolds as a sequence of portraits, body studies and metaphorical settings featuring Othello, Stephan Runge and Holger Bombusch, with a soundtrack recorded in 1972 by the musicians who soon became known as Kraftwerk.
