About
A lecture on the pioneering role of Latin American feminism in the 21st century. The Argentine journalist and feminist writer Luciana Peker shows how movements like Ni Una Menos and the dates 25N and 28S originated in Latin America and the Caribbean, even though the global narrative centres on the USA and Europe. With a historical perspective, she also addresses the dangerous rise of antidemocratic forces after an era of feminist advances. The talk is part of the Diversity/Medialities series and takes place in cooperation with Mecila and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
