A free reading in German and Farsi from the book „Vergesst uns nicht! – Geschichten aus Afghanistan“, taking place as part of the CrossKultur festival at the Interkulturelle Haus Berlin Schöneberg. The doctor and writer Julia Augustin and the sociologist, social worker and researcher Ahmad Hamid Wahidy compiled and translated the life stories, wishes and demands of Afghan women from interviews, with the support of the associations FIDA e.V., MAH e.V. and PAO e.V. Since August 2021, Afghan women are no longer allowed to work, study or speak loudly in public and experience violence – freedom has become like a dream to them.
