About

LOOPTOPIA is an event at Urban Tech Republic in the former freight hall at Tegel Airport, where the exhibition „Material Culture. Matter of Place: From Material Cycles to Places“ opens its doors. Together with the greenlab of the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin, innovative materials, sustainable design approaches and future-proof technologies from universities, start-ups and circular economy pioneers are presented. Urban Tech Republic is part of the LOOPTOPIA Festival, a city-wide event making the circular economy tangible for 48 hours, organised by Circular Berlin. The programme includes free exhibition and production tours as well as the panel discussion „Spaces for Material Innovation“ with experts from material development, design, architectural and environmental psychology; participation is free of charge, registration required.
