MATERIAL CULTURE – MATTER OF PLACE is an exhibition on sustainable design and building culture, shown in a freight hall on the grounds of the former Tegel airport. It is curated by Zane Berzina, Barbara Schmidt, Lucy Norris and Mareen Baumeister from greenlab at the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin, together with Marija Marchuk and Stephanie Ambrosius-Groß from the Urban Tech Republic. It presents works by greenlab students and alumni, by start-ups of the Urban Tech Republic, and by students of the Berliner Hochschule für Technik. The exhibition opens with a vernissage at 4 pm as part of the CURRENTS Design Festival and runs until 30 June 2027.
