About
The exhibition presents the story of Metropoliz in eastern Rome, a former sausage factory occupied in 2009 that houses 200 people and became an alternative museum from 2012 through works by more than 450 artists from around the world. The museum was initiated by Giorgio de Finis, and the Berlin exhibition is curated by Giorgio de Finis, Irene Di Noto, Antonella Perin, Petra Roggel, Christian Hiller and Zita Leutgeb. On display are artworks, films, photographs and design visions, including speculative futures developed by BeL with the Social Impact Studio of the HSD Peter Behrens School, María García / María dilemas, Planbude and raumlabor. Comparing the moon and the blue planet, it asks how public space can be rethought, and during the run the SCHAU FENSTER also becomes a forum for talks and workshops.
