About
"Die Zivilisation" is a musical-literary performance commemorating the ban of the anti-fascist Liberated Theatre of Prague on 10 November 1938. Between 1933 and 1938, the Liberated Theatre was considered Europe's most important anti-fascist avant-garde stage, courageously opposing intolerance, xenophobia, racism and antisemitism. The evening features texts and songs of the legendary artist trio Jiří Voskovec, Jan Werich and Jaroslav Ježek. Antje Rietz, Susanne Eisenkolb and Manfred Eisner lead through the programme, with music by Zuzana Lapcikova, Petr Ruzicka, Josef Feco and Oli Bott under the direction of Dusan-Robert Parisek.
