About
"EISLER LOST IN HOLLYWOOD" is a theatre revue about the composer Hanns Eisler, a production by the Compagnie Freaks und Fremde. The portrait shows a contradictory, combative man whose songs are sung on streets all over the world, but who finds no happy ending in Hollywood despite an Oscar nomination, and whose dreams freeze in the Cold War. A collage of selected songs, surprising scenic elements, animated video projections and puppet theatre creates the picture of an extraordinary composer. Artistic direction, acting and puppetry are by Sabine Köhler and Heiki Ikkola, arrangements, musical direction and live music by Frieder Zimmermann, with Tobias Herzz Hallbauer as special guest.
