About
A history evening at the Berlin house of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung in Prenzlauer Berg looks at religious socialists and their role in the Weimar Republic. One hundred years ago the Bund der Religiösen Sozialisten was founded to build a bridge between the socialist labour movement and Protestant Christians, and it was persecuted under the Nazi regime for its resistance. The speakers are Franz Segbers, an emeritus professor of social ethics at the University of Marburg, and Ulrich Peter, longtime chairman of the Bund, who both edited the book „Nicht wie Feuer und Wasser. Religion und Sozialismus“; Cornelia Hildebrandt moderates. Admission costs €2.
