About
Nighthawks perform their new live programme "Paris Dakar" at the Quasimodo club. The five musicians around Reiner Winterschladen (trumpet), Jürgen Dahmen (keys), Jörg Lehnardt (guit), Dal Martino (bass) and Thomas Alkier (drums) have been blending jazz and rock for more than 20 years. The new programme touches on the African continent, just as inspiration was once sought in Brazil or the Balkans, and honours musicians such as Manu Dibango. Their songs go in easily on the surface yet offer depth, delivered with a relaxed, all-embracing musicianship laced with subtle humour.
