"Nix gibt's!": A pension revue with magic and tap dance.

"Nix gibt's!" is a grand pension revue that tackles 137 years of statutory pension insurance on stage with magic, tap dance, verbal and vocal acrobatics, and plenty of paragraphs. A co-production by glanz&krawall and Theater Thikwa, conceived by Dennis Depta and Marielle Sterra and directed by Marielle Sterra, it takes on another German horror topic after "Die Tüten aus der Verwaltung": pensions. In the style of Erwin Piscator's historic-political mammoth shows, the piece asks about stalled reforms, looming poverty in old age, and loss of housing in demographic change. It also examines how our pension system works at all and what it would need to offer better prospects for everyone in society.
