About
The award ceremony is the annual presentation of the Prize for Understanding and Tolerance, held as part of a festive gala dinner. Behind it are the Jewish Museum Berlin and the FRIENDS OF THE JMB, who since 2002 have honoured figures from politics, business and culture who have rendered outstanding services to understanding, tolerance, human dignity and the coexistence of different religions and cultures. The evening's donation proceeds go to the museum's educational work. The prize sculpture takes the form of an oloid.
