About

The award ceremony of the Berliner Verlagspreis 2026 honours publishers whose publications stand out from the mainstream of the Berlin publishing landscape. The prize has been awarded since 2018 jointly by the Berlin Senate Departments for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises and for Culture and Social Cohesion, funded by the European Union. The Great Berlin Publisher's Prize worth 26,000 euros and two prizes of 15,000 euros each will be awarded, while three further shortlisted publishers receive 4,000 euros each. The event will be moderated by Knut Elstermann.
