A symposium titled "Public Engagement - Futures of Art Mediation" at Hamburger Bahnhof examines art mediation in the context of social, institutional and technological transformation. It is organised by Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, which takes the anniversary as an occasion to do so. Museums are shown to be developing into spaces of negotiation, participation and knowledge production. International perspectives from theory, research, practice and artistic practice work out future-oriented models of mediation.
