About

A film evening at the Kotti Nachbarschaftsladen in the Familiengarten shows the documentary „Rafet´in Çocukları” / “Rafet´s Kinder”. The evening is hosted by Simurg e.V.; the film by Mümin Barış and Reşit Ballıkaya tells the story of Rafet Temur, who lived in exile in Turkey after the 1980 military coup and made Berlin his new home. He devoted himself to children and young people of Turkish migration background, talking with them about psychology, philosophy, art and politics – above all about thinking for themselves. Its themes are immigration, loneliness, cultural differences, family life and longing for „Heimat“; Mümin Barış will be connected online.
