About
Guitarist and singer Raphael Gimenes brings his concert “Caçador de Horizontes” to Berlin for the very first time. His music draws on several roots: the sounds of his native Brazil and the influence of Denmark, which he has called home for almost two decades, alongside South American rhythms and the many shades of jazz. The concert takes its title from his fourth album, on which he pursues physical and inner horizons of all kinds, inspired by journeys across the American continent and moving between intimate moments and sweeping instrumental passages. Joining him on stage are his fellow musicians Flavia Huarachi on flute and vocals and Jan Kadereit on percussion and vocals.
