About
"Release before Peace" is a panel discussion on human rights, responsibility and the question of why freedom cannot wait for peace. It takes place as part of the Berlin Freedom Conference in cooperation with Vitsche e.V., hosted by the Politisches Bildungsforum Berlin of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. It addresses the situation of people under Russian occupation in Ukraine, the systematic oppression of the Ukrainian population, and the return of children and prisoners. Together with leading Ukrainian human rights activists and experts, it also examines the political and diplomatic steps needed to give those affected a voice and protect their rights.
