A discussion event marking the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian popular uprising. The Catholic Academy in Berlin, together with Renovabis, invites guests to talk about the meaning of "1956" in Hungarian memory culture and politics, as well as Hungary's present and future. Speakers include Zsuzsa Breier, Kornélia Kiss, Konrád Dejcsics and Gergely Romsics, moderated by Kai-Olaf Lang. The Research Prize Eastern Europe 2026 will be awarded directly afterwards.
