About

Schemes Jazz Quartet plays modern Scandinavian jazz at the club b-flat. Behind the project are Brede Sørum (sax), Oliver Skou-Due (piano), Bendik Løland Lundsvoll (bass) and Veslemøy Narvesen (drums). The Danish-Norwegian quartet, based in Trondheim, blends intricate compositions with a free approach, often connected by long open stretches and intense interplay. Since the release of their debut album Embrace in 2024, the band has been praised as one of the most promising additions to the Norwegian jazz scene, with a second album expected in fall 2026.
