About

A reading spectacle based on the vampire novel "Dracula", blurring the lines between reading and acting. Stefan Jürgens, an actor and musician, combines language, music and play into a melodramatic literary performance. The story follows Jonathan Harker, who travels to Transylvania in 1875 and unknowingly opens the door to an ancient secret, while Count Dracula pursues his sinister plan. A soundtrack of orchestral music by Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff and Debussy plus live-played piano compositions of his own heightens the dramatic effect.
