The documentary "The Beauty of Ballroom" follows three artists in Southeast Asia who, inspired by the Black and Latin American ballroom culture of New York, build their own ballroom communities. Teddy, Xyza and Sun create safe spaces for people affected by social exclusion. Between voguing, performance and chosen family, the film shows ballroom lived not just as a dance form but as an act of survival, healing and resistance. The film by Chan Sze-Wei is set in the Philippines, Singapore, Germany and Indonesia.
