About
TOPO 16 is an improvised music concert in the TOPO series, whose name derives from the term topology. The performing quintet features Antje Vowinckel (soprano saxophone), Michael Thieke (clarinet), Adam Pultz Melbye (FAAB, a Feedback-Actuated Augmented Bass), Andreas Voccia (modular synthesizer) and Chris Heenan (contrabass clarinet). TOPO stands for the creation of sonic spaces that emerge through improvisation in the interplay between musicians and audience, changing continuously while always retaining their core characteristics.
