"UNEXPECTED LESSONS 5: The Resonating Body – Writing and Orality" is an evening combining a writing workshop, three performances and a discussion around the interplay of body, orality and writing. Behind the event are the artists Melanie Jame Wolf, emet ezell, Alvin Tran and Celina Baljeet Basra. At its heart are questions of how texts for dance and performance are crafted and how language works as a material on stage. On show are, among others, Wolf's formal experiment "UNRULY MATERIAL (After Genet, after Mr. Punch)", ezell's performative reading "MY MOUTH IS A RESURRECTION CHANNEL" and Tran's first play "STRAWBERRY, ARIZONA".
