Exhibition on the State Library's Weber collection.

A presentation of sources by the Berlin State Library marking the Carl Maria von Weber anniversary, showing selected objects from its Weber collection. The library holds the largest collection on the composer worldwide, beginning in 1851 with the donation of the „Freischütz“ autograph by his widow, continued by the purchase of Friedrich Wilhelm Jähns's Weberiana collection in 1881, the acquisition of the family estate in 1956/86, and a recent acquisition in 2024. Using these pieces, the history of the collection is brought to life. The event is part of the series „Im Fokus: Auf Entdeckungsreise durch unsere Sammlungen“ and is hosted by Solveig Schreiter and Frank Ziegler.
