About
„Tür zur Geschichte“ is a presentation at the Alte Nationalgalerie on Berlin's Museum Island, for which a historic room has been redesigned. It is mounted by the Nationalgalerie of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin to mark the museum's 150th anniversary. The room, once part of a sculpture hall of more than 300 m², preserves traces of 150 years of architectural history, from the founding of the museum via the installation of the so-called Justi Cabinets to the destruction of World War II. A companion cabinet offers insight into the history of the collection through three monumental works of the Nationalgalerie.
