About
The exhibition "Vineta Kaulača – Mapping the View" presents paintings by the Latvian artist Vineta Kaulača at the BrotfabrikGalerie. Kaulača works with light and colour, and her highly detailed pictures sometimes look almost like photographs. For this exhibition she combines film and painting, engaging with the film history of Weißensee. A key theme is framing – what a camera shows at a given moment – for which she uses photos or individual film stills, drawing attention to pauses, delays and how our gaze moves.
