Wavematters. Attending to the Spectral. Bodies, Cities, Devices is an exhibition at the Tieranatomisches Theater exploring how sound, light, heat, and electromagnetic waves affect bodies, cities, and devices. It is the outcome of a five-year ERC Consolidator Grant led by Ignacio Farías at the Institute for European Ethnology, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, curated by Jorge Martín Sainz de los Terreros and Ignacio Farías. A multimodal Cabinet of Waves presents objects gathered during urban fieldwork, while five artistic positions and two interactive wall installations invite visitors to engage with the spectral through sensory, narrative, and ethnographic means.
