Wunderkammer
Schillertheater, Bismarckstraße 110, 10625 Berlin, Charlottenburg
About
"Wunderkammer" is a ballet production by the Staatsballett Berlin at the Schillertheater. Behind it is choreographer Marcos Morau, known for surreal imagery who translates collective memories into movement. The stage is imagined as a "chamber" full of surprises and unexpected perspectives, echoing the historical cabinets of curiosities of the Renaissance and Baroque. The piece asks about the "foreign" within oneself and reflects the longing for belonging in an increasingly complex world.
