A Happy Birthday, Imogen Dutt is a theatre piece by Half Chewed. Polly Waldron and Adrian Greensmith devised and perform it, with Luis Odriozola as movement director and performer and Lillian Cheever as designer. Imogen Dutt celebrates her birthday every year while being haunted, and tonight at 25 she learns she did not kill what haunts her. The fictional story, loosely inspired by Mark Fisher's book Capitalist Realism, follows her out to celebrate as she reckons with why it is so hard to imagine alternatives, followed by a creature with an impossible face; it runs 70 minutes with no interval and is for ages 15+.
