About
Perpetuity (Work-in-Progress) is a solo theatre show by Shambles Ensemble, staged in the Members Bar of Battersea Arts Centre as part of the UNREAL festival. Created by the company and directed by Chris Yarnell, it fuses visual and physical storytelling, clowning, performance art and illusion to explore what it means to spend an eternity, what constitutes a soul, and how resilient the human spirit is. Inspired by Dorian Gray, lockdown and pot plants, the 60-minute show asks how you would spend forever and follows a life that is never quite finished. It is recommended for ages 14 and up and contains haze, flashing lights, sudden loud noises and themes of loss, death and suicide.
