About

A Mouthful of Tongues is a solo performance in which a figure in a suit arrives on an empty stage and voices begin to fill the void from hard-to-locate places. It is created and performed by dancer and choreographer Stina Fors, a performance artist and experimental vocalist whose work centres on the voice. Built on several years of research into the relationship between body and voice, it uses distorted ventriloquism to let multiple identities be seen and heard. The piece explores what a body can hold and what it cannot contain, using the voice as a choreographic tool to ask what we do and do not give a voice to.
